Wastewater Operator Supervisor

Dickinson Frozen Foods, located in Fruitland, Idaho has an opening as a Wastewater Operator Supervisor.  The selected candidate must have proper certification (class I or II Idaho Wastewater Operator license) & experience operating a wastewater system. Job Duties include:

• Supervise the work of 3 other employees in the wastewater department and ensure they are trained and held accountable to perform the essential functions of the job up to standard
• Ensure wastewater system is operating correctly and make adjustments as necessary to meet discharge and quality standards
• Troubleshoot operational problems and diagnose and carry out both short-term and long-term solutions
• Maintain accurate and complete logs and meter and gauge readings
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Class I (or II) Wastewater Operator Certification.
• A valid driver’s license.
• The ability to swim.
• Acceptance of on-call status and willingness to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to complete mathematical equations.
• Working knowledge of:
• Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Pumps, electric motors, piping, and control systems.
• Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles.
