Description

ATEC Water Systems seeks a service-oriented, hands-on, collaborative leader for its new Engineering Department to take on the growing needs of a water filter manufacturing company based on Hollister, CA. The Sales Engineer is part of the Companies’ four-member leadership team that reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The Sales Engineer is responsible for preparing preliminary designs, equipment submittals, O&M manuals, assisting the operations team on pilot testing and trouble shooting and preparing sales quotes.

The sales engineer will work with sales representatives in the Western US to conduct sales cales, provide information on treatment alternatives and attend industry conferences.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for or oversees the preparation of planning or design documents, design criteria, cost estimates, engineering, and feasibility reports for all ATEC projects.
  • Support Sales Representatives with technical information, quotes and sales information on ATEC products
  • Prepare submittals, O&M Manuals, and other technical information for contractors and equipment purchasers.
  • Support operations team on pilot testing, start ups and site inspections with technical information.
  • Provides support to customers’ field staff in troubleshooting and improving water system operations.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets complex engineering construction plans, designs, and documents for bidding purposes.
  • Works with owners and engineers to provide information on system designs, operations and maintenance of equipment.
  • Collaborates with Operations & Maintenance Manager on capital, maintenance, and operations projects to support the Operations and Maintenance department.
  • Qualification requirements include any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in Civil Engineering or a related technical field
  • Three to ten years of professional engineering experience at or consulting for a water utility with with some water treatment related experience.
  • Background should include experience managing both Capital Improvement Projects and Developer Extension Projects.
  • A current Professional Engineer (PE) license is not required but would be beneficial.
